Developing the charging infrastructure of the future requires solutions that are thought through from the ground up - literally. TectoPower's Laddö 4660 and Laddö 7120 steel foundations have been developed in close co-operation with Circle K, Sweden's largest player in public EV charging.
With over 300 charging stations in operation across the country, Circle K has practical experience of what it takes to make a charging point work - every day, all year round. In dialogue with their project team, we developed the Laddö concepts to meet these requirements. The result is two basic solutions that combine high operational reliability, easy installation and long service life - with designs adapted for both passenger cars and heavy traffic.
Laddö 4660 is mainly used for light traffic. It is stackable, which facilitates logistics and makes deliveries more efficient. Thanks to its design, it does not require concrete to be poured, saving both time and resources on site. Its accessible design makes it particularly suitable for public environments.
Laddö 7120 is designed for charging heavy vehicles. Here too, the focus is on ease of installation - no concrete is needed. The modular design provides flexibility in the placement of chargers, protection and lighting.
A particular strength of both charging islands is the ability to easily replace chargers without having to touch the ground or foundations. The chargers are anchored to a mounting plate that is standardised and future-proof - an important factor in an industry where hardware has a shorter lifespan than the surrounding infrastructure.
Both foundations are made in Sweden from galvanised steel - adapted to withstand the Nordic climate and heavy loads. The fact that Circle K has chosen the Laddö series for so many of its establishments shows that the products live up to the demands of reality.
"We know that the chargers will be replaced several times during the life of the foundation. That's why it's crucial for us that the replacement can be done quickly and without ground disturbance - it saves both time and money in the long run."
- Robert Alm, Circle K
"Our charging islands are designed with the installer's everyday life in mind. In co-operation with Circle K, we have ensured that every detail works - from delivery to long-term operation."
- Johan Fernlund, Tectopower
